SUNDAY: Celebration of Psalms
Haiti Benefit Concert
In the Church @ 3pm
Experience an afternoon of choral music featuring 50 musicians ages 6 to 89 from the St. Alphonsus Adult, Youth & Young Adult, and Children's Choirs accompanied by piano, violin and cello.
It will also be the debut of our brand new organ with a guest organist!
Through beautiful choral settings of the Psalms and a brief reflection from
Fr. Antony Jean Baptiste, a local priest from Haiti, we will celebrate the gift of music while raising support and awareness for our twin parish, St. Anthony of Padua, in Haiti.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase Haitian-made goods to support the ministry. All are welcome!

St. Francis & the Franciscan Way of Life with Fr. David Huemmer
Wednesday, September 30, 6:30pm in Parish Hall
St. Francis gave up everything to follow Christ and heard God’s call to "Rebuild My Church.” Fr. David Huemmer will discuss this great saint and encourage us to ask the question: How is God calling me to rebuild His Church?
One way He has called some is through Secular Third Orders, lay people who follow rules of life stemming from religious orders such as the Franciscans, Dominicans and Benedictines.
Learn about that way of life from our own local Third Order Franciscans, who will be there to answer questions and offer information.

Discover Your Spiritual Gifts Through Called and Gifted
Starts Oct. 21
Called and Gifted is a program that helps to uncover how the Holy Spirit is uniquely at work in your life. This powerful discernment process helps you recognize the charisms (spiritual gifts) you've been given as a channel of God's goodness for others.
The program is a mixture of videos and discussion diving into topics such as discernment, intentional discipleship and the Holy Spirit.
Deacon Tim shares below how Called & Gifted has personally impacted his life.

Help Us Reach 24/7 Adoration by Advent: Nov. 29
As we work toward Fr. Travis' goal of "perpetual" (24/7) adoration, we are asking all members of the parish to take a regularly-scheduled adoration time, even 15 minutes each month. We'll have volunteers in the narthex this weekend to help you get signed up!
Can't take a time every week? Here are 5 creative ways you can still be a regular adorer...
Can't take a time every week? Here are 5 creative ways you can still be a regular adorer...
5 Creative Ways to Be a Regular Adorer
1. Partner with a spouse or friend to hold each other accountable! Do something fun, like coffee or a walk, afterward together.
2. Pick one hour a week with a friend and share the hour so you each go for 30 minutes a week.
3. Pick one hour a week with 3 friends and share the hours so you each adore for one hour a month. Plus, your friends are built in substitutes when you can't make it.
4. Parish ministries can each pick one hour a month and have volunteers sign up to attend different months so the time is always covered.
5. Alternate different hours each week: you don't have to go to the same hour each week.

If you have previous choral experience, the SAL Adult Choir needs you! The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7p and provides music for two 10:30a Masses each month, as well as feast days. Sheet music and personalized rehearsal resources are provided. Join the fun practicing, laughing, and praying together – the choir would love to have you!
