TONIGHT: How to Pray, Ignatian Prayer
Whether you’ve been praying for decades or are just getting started, come learn, practice and pray with our parish community tonight at 6:30pm in Weitzel Hall. Join us in person as we dive into the different ways the Church has been praying for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. This month, we’re learning all about Ignatian Imaginative Prayer. Celebrate St. Alphonsus' Feast Day!
Join us for events all weekend
After Saturday (August 1) 4:30pm Mass, we will process outside following Jesus in the Eucharist and the relic of St. Alphonsus Liguori to the outdoor adoration area in the field north of the church (weather permitting). Our relic is ex ossibus (from the bone) of St. Alphonsus and was a gift from the Provincial House of Redemptorists in Denver, Colorado.
Outdoor Adoration 5:30-9pm
After the procession, we will have outdoor adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the field north of the church following the below schedule:
7pm: Evening Prayer
8pm: Rosary
9pm: Benediction
We will have some chairs set up for outdoor adoration, but you are welcome to bring your own chairs, blankets and outdoor kneeling pads.

In general, the Church recommends an exterior gesture that fits the occasion and corresponds to a person’s interior disposition. This could include bowing, kneeling or kissing the glass of the reliquary (the container) while praying. You can ask the saint to intercede for your intentions and thank God for their example. Note: Veneration is entirely different from the adoration given to God alone.

We are immensely grateful to Mary Williams and all the Funeral Luncheon team for their time and their talents to feed so many. And of course to Fr. Travis Stephens and Deacon Tim Perry for their compassion and their loving words of support and hope.

Times We Need Regularly-Scheduled Adorers
If you have previous choral experience, the SAL Adult Choir needs you! The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7p and provides music for two 10:30a Masses each month, as well as feast days. Sheet music and personalized rehearsal resources are provided. Join the fun practicing, laughing, and praying together – the choir would love to have you!
