TONIGHT at 6:30pm, we'll offer a second session of our monthly in-person series on How to Pray where we'll discuss different types of prayer and practice them together.

St. Alphonsus Golf Cup and
Silent Auction
Join the Knights of Columbus and fellow golfers for a day of fun to raise money for great causes! In addition to the golf tournament, all are welcome to participate in the online silent auction, featuring $10,000 in amazing prizes, including golf rounds at premiere courses, memorabilia, athletic tickets and more. The event also includes $4,500 in raffle and door prizes on the course.
Consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops invites all US Catholics to participate in the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from June 3-11, leading up to the consecration of the United States in celebration of our country's 250th birthday.
St. Alphonsus will be emailing the daily novena prayers for all who would like to participate, beginning June 3.

Living Generously Reflection: Who Is in Need?
One of the most interesting things about generosity is that I have a much greater need to give than other people have to receive. It may seem counter-intuitive, even ridiculous at first, but it is true.
I need to give much more than they need to receive. The world is full of people whose need to receive is desperate. It is easy to make the mistake of thinking they are most in need.
Their need to receive is obvious, but my need to give is hidden. And as desperate as their need to receive appears, my need to give is even more desperate.
We may think we are reaching down to give them a hand up, but perhaps the very opposite is the truth.
The heart of generosity is humility. Focus on your need to give, not their need to receive.

If you have previous choral experience, the SAL Adult Choir needs you! The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7p and provides music for two 10:30a Masses each month, as well as feast days. Sheet music and personalized rehearsal resources are provided. Join the fun practicing, laughing, and praying together – the choir would love to have you!
