Dear SAL Families,
Deacon Harold did not disappoint last night! His talk was inspiring, witty, and insightful. I sure am glad we had such a great turnout. The tidbits I gleaned was that Mass is like sports practice, it builds muscle memory so we can go in the world and be his disciples. The world is the "game." The world is going to persecute us for what we believe: that marriage is between a man and a woman, that life should be revered and protected from conception until natural death. The Mass and the Sacraments train us for the game. Adoration will change your life. We need silence to hear the voice of God, and "earbuds in your ears is not how God talks to you." There is one true Church, and that is the Catholic Church - the Church founded by Jesus Christ. Just ask Siri!
Great turnout for the retreat! We had 16 youth and had a great time with the Net Ministry Team. See photos below!
A reminder that our Diocesan Retreat for 6th - 8th graders, Encounter, is this Saturday, February 4th! Registration is below.
