Dear SAL Families,
Remember the Diocesan Retreat for 6th - 8th graders, Encounter, is Saturday, February 4th! It's a very fun day and a way to get together with other tweens from across the Diocese. Francesca LaRosa is our musician. She is amazing if you want to look her up simply google her name. Each youth can attend one of the following break out sessions (choose your top 3 when you register):
- .For Men: Over the Top!
Jesus Christ wants to give you life--- and not just a little bit of life, but an ABUNDANCE of life--- and if you accept it, it will change EVERYTHING. - For Women: True Beauty & the Gift of Self Image
Uncovering and discovering healthy versions of ourselves as who were made to be, made in God’s Image. - Hearing & Following God's Call
The Bible is filled with stories of God calling people from their mundane lives to something extraordianry. Does God call all people to this kind of life? And how do we hear him when we are called? - Trusting in Providence, Living in Freedom, Following God's Call
A buffalo. A glass of orange juice. A bouquet of flowers. What do these things have in common? All three have been tangible signs of the Lord’s loving providence in my life. When we come to know how personally the Lord cares for us, we become free to courageously follow His plans and receive the abundant life to which He calls us. - Praying with the Bible
Are you uncertain about how to speak with God through prayer? Come learn a new way to pray with the scriptures!
**It is a drop off event. I will meet your tween at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. You will pick the up at the end.**
