Life Night Preview:
The goal of our Life Night is to help teens understand why cheating is detrimental to their academic formation and invite them to live in the spirit of truth. A student from Marian University (Allison Heller) is bringing her insights as a current student dealing with the pressure in our technological age.
Key Points:
The increased competition for college scholarships and the fear of repercussions for doing poorly in school may drive some to be academically dishonest.
The act of cheating harms the individual’s self-respect and deteriorates one’s confidence, making them more susceptible to be tempted to continue cheating in other areas.
By living with integrity, we forgo the easy path and strive to live as a disciple of Jesus rooted in living justice and truth.
Dinner: Spaghetti and Meatballs with Garlic Bread
Upcoming Life Teen Topics:
9/25: Academic Honesty in a Tech Filled World
10/2: Healthy Boundaries On and Off of the Screen (Safe and Sacred Night)
10/9: No Life Teen, Fall Break

Fall Family Service Day Team
I am looking for a few parents to help with the many moving elements of our service day on October 29! In this service day we head out into the community to rake the leaves and help parishioners who need help prepare their yards for winter and work on our own parish grounds as well. If you are interested in joining the team, please email me at youthministry@zionsvillecatholic.com
